Tip #3: Capture Attention Fast
Well, back in the ‘good-ole-days’ (i.e. before smartphones), marketers could build their game plan on a ‘typical buying funnel’…Different stages of the funnel took place through many interactions between the company & the customers…and this took a lot longer than seconds!!!
Today the rules have changed – digital consumers are extremely impatient!! (I know I can be too!)
Um, with an 8 Second attention span, noted from a Microsoft study in 2018, we NEED TO CAPTURE ATTENTION FAST…which is why Tip #1: Use Relevant, High-Quality Images & Tip #2: Use Simple Language that’s Easy to Understand are important….Make sure your image is relevant/eye-catching & your words ‘force’ people to take action QUICKLY!
Here are a few ideas on how to be there for your customer base:
BE WHERE your customer is… Your brand needs to be present where your target audience is consuming content. This will help you understand where your audience is most inclined to buy something. Is your customer base on Instagram? Then you should be there advertising too. Are they on TikTok? Then advertise there…..etc.
LOOK GOOD ON MOBILE… Computers are for browsing. Mobile and social are for action….Make sure your ad looks good on mobile.
BE URGENT…Urgency prevails, whether you think this is important or not, it is the key factor for business owners/marketers like you to incorporate into your sales strategies.
