Before I jump right into it, I wanted to tell you that Facebook IS one of the MOST EFFECTIVE ADVERTISING PLATFORMS… However, poor planning and implementation of a Facebook advertising campaign is a surefire way though to turn what could be a goldmine into a money pit.
Engaging and creative ads don’t require expensive equipment or lots of time.
So, over the next 10 days I’ll be sending you tips to improve the effectiveness of your Ad Creative for Better Results.
Tip #1: Use a Relevant, High-Quality Image
Let’s start with the basics.
The image is an extremely important part of your Facebook ad since it’s the first thing that your audience often notices.
The stats don’t lie:
- The brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text (WOW! That really emphasizes how important images are in ads!)
- 88% of marketers consider visual content to be very important to their marketing strategy.
- Information that’s accompanied by a relevant image is likely to be remembered up to three days later.
When choosing an image, always make sure that it’s relevant to the product or service you’re offering.
Here’s a fun example from Disneyland – they are advertising their ‘Oogie Boogie Bash/ Halloween Party’….The Image is Relevant + High Quality & gets noticed.

Make sure to choose your image in terms of context…so that there is an alignment between the image & your product/service.
As a quick reminder, relating to quality, Facebook recommends that you upload the highest image resolution available that meets ratio requirements.
